£250
You grew your placenta and your placenta grew your baby. If you’re considering honouring it in this way, it would be a privilege to prepare it for you.
We offer respectful and careful placenta encapsulation to support your recovery in the early weeks after birth, and beyond.
What this service includes
We encapsulate your placenta using the raw method.
This service includes:
• on-call availability from 38 weeks
• photos of each side of your placenta
• preparation and dehydration
• blending into powder
• encapsulation into cellulose capsules
• guidance on storage and consumption
If beginning your capsules quickly feels important, we can prepare your placenta in two batches so you have some ready within around 24 hours of drop-off. If that feels unnecessary or impractical, we can prepare it all in one batch instead.
We’ll communicate clearly with you so you know exactly when it will be ready.
Cost
£250
A £100 deposit secures your on-call period, with the remaining balance due before 38 weeks.
Payment plans of up to three months are available, depending on when you book.
Practical details
This is a drop-off and collection service based in South Manchester.
As soon as possible after your birth, someone you trust will need to bring your placenta to us in a sealed container with ice packs. Many women choose to give this job to someone who wants to help in the early postpartum.
We aren’t able to collect, drop off, or post placentas or capsules.
Written guidance can provided on informing medical staff you’re keeping your placenta, safe storage and transport, capsule storage and use.
Keepsakes
If the umbilical cord has enough length, we can shape the umbilical cord into a small heart before dehydration.
Other keepsakes may be available for freebirth doula clients, where we are present at the time of birth.
Reported benefits
Women who choose placenta remedies often report:
• Feeling more emotionally balanced
• Increased energy
• Quicker physical recovery
• Support with milk production
• Reduced postnatal bleeding
Of course experiences will vary, and placenta remedies are not a medical treatment. As with all things, listen out for and follow your intuition is telling you – it won’t steer you wrong.

If this feels right for you, please email us with your guess date so we can check our availability. We only take a limited number each month so we can give each placenta the time and care it deserves.
